For senders
How does Pombly work?
Pick the country your card is sent from, write your message and the address, and pay. A local Contributor there buys a postcard, writes your words by hand, adds a real stamp and posts it.
What does it cost?
The price depends on the country your card is posted from. Each country sits in a price tier, and the price for every tier is shown on the world map when you place an order. Loyalty discounts apply automatically: 5 % at Oak, 10 % at Teak.
Can I track my mail?
Ordinary postcards and letters are not tracked anywhere in the world. Instead your dashboard shows your order's status: pending contributor, accepted by contributor, mailed.
How long does it take?
Contributors post within 5 working days of accepting; after that, normal international post times apply - roughly 2 to 5 working days within a region and 5 to 15 intercontinental.
Are the stamps real?
Yes - genuine local stamps, and special postmarks for event orders from the calendar.
What can I not send?
Nothing hateful, illegal or harmful, nothing that endangers children, and no prohibited items. Postcards and letters carry words and images only.
Which countries can I not send from?
Countries in the excluded tier are shown grey on our map and cannot be chosen - currently including Russia and North Korea.
For Contributors
Why is my new account locked?
Every Contributor account starts locked until you have posted one card to our office, proving you can post from your address. The operations team unlocks you when it arrives.
How do I get paid?
When you accept an order we credit your wallet with the postcard and stamp cost for your country plus the Contributor payout for your country. Once your wallet passes the payout threshold the operations team pays it out to your Wise account or bank.
Do I have to be over 18?
Yes. Contributors confirm at sign-up that they are at least 18 years old.
Can I take a break?
Yes - switch to inactive in your dashboard and you will get no more job requests until you switch back.
